On the Litter-Robot, you have a drawer that collects the cat litter. If it becomes full, the blue light will blink rapidly. But if you throw out the mess, the lights should go off. Before returning the drawer to its compartment, remember to place a new liner into the container.

The LR4 no longer uses the sensors contained in the drawer that would get dirty and fault out all of the time (drawer full when it is completely empty). The LR4 now uses a beam in the top of globe bezel which checks the level through the opening each time the box empties. Now you get a real time waste level.Always place the Litter-Robot on a firm, level surface. Avoid soft, uneven, or unstable flooring, which may affect the ability of the unit to detect your cat.
