Kawasaki stx 12f problems.
About 5 years ago, I picked up a 2004 STX-12F and a 2005 STX-15, and a Zieman double for $2200. Neither 'Ski ran, both had bad displays, but the biggest problem with both of them was totally gunked up fuel systems. I know prices are rising rapidly, but I'd offer less than $5K since the -12F appears to have major problems. Life jackets are cheap.

Jul 14, 2021 · Remove all spark plugs from engine and plug them in the spark plug leads and against the engine. To check coils easily: switch the low voltage wires from coil 2-3 to coil 1-4. No spark at 1 and 4 is a sign that the coil is broken. No sparks at 2-3 is a sign that the ignotion switchbox is broken, or the pick-up coils for 1-4. The repaired ski (2004 STX-12f) ran pretty reliably for the last couple of years, although it would occasionally be hard to start if shut off after riding for a while. By hard to start, I mean it would crank and not fire at all, and then after a random number of tries it would start immediately after hitting the start button.

That being said, $5500 is pretty high. someone can probably pick the ski up new, out the door with a trailer for 7k. and 15F's w/ the same hours are going for 5500-6000.
