2004.5 Sportsman HOT CHECK ENGINE. Hi, I just recently bought a 2004.5 polaris sportsman and when I brought it home I noticed the rad was full of mud. So the next day I removed and disconnected the rad and cleaned it out really well. Im 99% sure its around 7250 and your at about 65mph if you hit it. It's actually a speed limiter not a rev limiter. Mine hits the speed limiter at 7450 but the actual rev limiter on that machine is around 7850. Thanks for all the responses. We've got a suggested rev limit at 7250, 7500, and 7850.
