I'd rather run at -5% speed in Balrog Skin for my barbarian or Kraken Shell for an assassin (probably won't have the strength for it :/). Looks > minmaxing. For merc, get yourself the best heavy ethereal armor you can get your hands on while being within your merc's strength stat.
