Jul 28, 2019 · I've played this game pretty much exclusively in single player and recently I wanted to raise the max difficulty level of my worlds. So i raised the difficulty to 10 in the general settings, went into a map and used destroywilddinos, and when they respawned, nothing changed in their levels. If this is on then it won’t go above 150. I believe that to set the difficulty past 5, you can’t just change the number. Just modify the the offset and difficulty value until you get dinos that spawn in multiples of 4 e.g. 4-28-52-96-120 (Picked these as an example because they wouldnt exist on 5x difficulty, apart from 120) and change the numbers if you find anything over 120

It's the official standard and when you go online searching for recommended stats, the numbers are immediately relevant without having to do recalculations. Edit for clarity. Jan 15, 2017 · 1.0 is the highest you can go with the settings. That will give you lvl 120 dinos. You can change it in the .ini to go up to the new high of 150. ARK's difficulty settings are confusing. They have difficulty and difficulty offset. You can change one of them in the .ini to 5 and it will give you lvl 150 dinos.

The "difficulty offset" setting directly refers to the max level of wild dinos as they spawn in. Difficulty 1 = max lvl 30 wild dinos Difficulty 2 = Max lvl 60 wild dinos and so on to max lvl 150 @ difficulty 5. So to make it harder you increase the level of wild dinos, so at max 150 with cloth armor it's not a good idea to poke a trike.

Quick question, but does this mean that the OverrideOfficialDifficulty cannot be set to above 5 in the gameusersettings.ini (if this is the case maybe it's broken as I still see some 160+ dinos after destroywilddinos)?
