i literally JUST had this happen to me yesterday, i got my seamoth stuck on the ramp up the Aurora and was not about to try to get back to base with my seaglide.. Problem with the cannon. In order to get the cannon you have to swim back to your base, and then the Aurora despawns, and the seamoth falls. I don't know if it will get stuck in the aurora like the seamoth does in the island, but I don't know, maybe my argument isn't valid here. It is on the islands though. Land does. Your seamoth probably clipped through the ground. BTW, it's not gone. It's just inside the ground. You can use a terraformer to get it out, but don't do this if you don't want to cheat. If you're playing on xbox s/ps4 slim, save far away from the island and run like hell to the beacon.

Turned out when the chunk wasn't loaded it fell into the water and was stuck under the ground. And I don't save often so I was screwed over a seamoth. I got mine stuck next to the aurora and I made a new one. Cut to 15hours later (first playthrough) i think to myself, could I get it unbeached with my prawn suit.
