First there was the xg1v1 made by pace. It was slightly bigger than gen 2 and was noted for the blue color power supply and that it had five tuners. Then came two models of gen 2 with a red power supply made by Pace and Arris (xg1v3), six tuners, and retaining the time display on the front. Then the 4K dvr (xg1v4).

The XG2 isn’t a dvr , just an HD box and has 4 tuners, that’s why the last wireless box can’t work, you’re out of tuners. The wireless boxes have to communicate with that XG2.
