If you do end up dropping, probably best to do it first semester freshman year, it matters a bit less on your transcript if you do it now than if you fail. Yo it depends what year you are. If you're a freshman it might not be totally too late. Talk to your advisor asap but you guys get longer times to drop out of a class.
