Their damage drops off pretty hard. You can get a bunch of Throwing Damage Up star inheritables and temper them on but it's a fair amount of work/luck. Realistically, you could use the magic buffs/debuffs with 30 magic and get your elements from ninjutsu with high dex, or you can use magic for your elements with high magic and use quick change and paralysis/poison with the 30 dex you have. It's pretty much personal preference. I use magic, but ninjutsu can be every bit as effective.
