It would sniff but not eat. Tamed a male 85 last night. With no trap it eats everytime. Just walk up to it with the body, when it sniffs, wait a couple seconds then drop the body and tek run away. You can keep bringing bodies to it over and over with no wait time between feedings.

Wait for carchar to kill everything around and calm down. Unpod a baby rex/yuty/whatever you got (I recommend rexes. 1 dead rex and it's friendly and ready to kill things for you), shoot it, drag the corpse to carchar.
