Sig p365 slide release hard to push.

This is normal when you have the slide forward, and especially when you have the slide closed w/ a round in the chamber, i.e., your +1. This especially common among the current crop of micro 9s using 1.5 stack or double stack mags, such as the P365 family. They all take a good amount of force to get the full mag seated w/ +1 in the chamber.It does not make sense that the disconnector would change (for the worse) between the P365 and the P365XL. They are basically the same frame and chassis. Everything is swappable. You can run a P365XL slide and barrel on a P365 and vise versa. The gun will get easier to operate as you use it and break it in. Assuming you are right handed hold the grip firmly with your right hand and take a firm overhand grip of your slide behind the extractor. Now PUSH the grip forward while holding the slide firmly. Much easier than pulling the slide backwards.

On both of my p320s the slide buttons have always worked well/smoothly when using them as a slide release, even right out of the box.
