+1. SFBs are great looking boots and okay combat boots, where the primary concern is protecting your foot on rucks and during intense shit and not exactly comfort. They're stiff to protect the ankle which isn't optimal for hiking and they're heavy. Also you don't want waterproof boots; they'll trap sweat. I vote merrels or salomon or vasques.
