Pushed the recoil spring assembly up , or in the opposite direction of the movement and the take down lever rotated as normal and the slide released. Sorry in advance for the cruddy cell phone pictures, but here goes: I recreated the problem by installing my completed slide on my FCU and grip module, minus the takedown lever.
