Either way, I would bet you will still need to ford at least a few rivers and the passes will probably have snow all summer. I did JMT mid July 2019 (high snow year) and the passes all had snow, big rivers were about thigh deep, lots of wet feet and mosquitoes, but totally doable for most experienced backpackers.2.
