Yes, the bonnet sensor is the metal tabs on the left side of where the bonnet connects, that powers the night light. Have you tried flexing the plastic tabs on the left and right side of the bonnet outward at 90 degree angles? You can put Vaseline on them, or if they look corroded, use a magic eraser to buff them to restore power flow. The bonnet is *never* actually removed/loose, but we keep getting the alerts. Usually they'll resume on their own but if not I just clean the contacts and bend the tabs outward and it'll work again for a while. Supposedly there's a way to bypass the bonnet sensor and I'm about at the point where I'm going to give it a try.
