Why is my 4lo light flashing tundra.

Following the alternator repair, my check engine light and 4LO came up out of nowhere. Took it to the dealership to check it out and do a brake job, and then they said my catalytic converters are due for replacing but held off. In my case it was the forward switch sticking causing the truck to still think it was in 4wd. Thus the confused flashing light. The part was about $90 at Toyota. It looks to be a $30 switch to me.
