That point may change based on your meta environment (Grand Admiral has a much later feasible conquest point than cut-throat multiplayer with no truces), but it's still a snowball game.

Driven assimilators get a minus 40% to pop growth so rapid breeders arent worth it any more. Still Driven assimilators are the most op because:Damage per shot is important, because of the disengage mechanics. The bigger the damage per shot the smaller the chance, that enemy can disengage.
