Sig p365 slide catch lever problems.

Hi Folks, I ran into a strange issue with reassembling my P365 after cleaning it where the internal safety lever was in the up position which prohibited me from locking the slide rearward. I had to manually push down the safety lever so that it allowed the slide to move rearward.
3) Set safety to fire position. 4) Rotate takedown lever to 6:00 position. Now the issue I have comes after. With the takedown lever at the 6:00 position, I go to pull the slide back and release the slide catch lever. I have some slide locks that are very difficult to disengage which is why doing the above way is better for those of us who carry or use different guns since the sling shot method works the same for all. Your slide lock lever will probably loosen up after you break the gun in. When you clean it, lube the release lever.As the title states my p365 XL has a dead trigger and a stuck takedown lever. The slide will not go forward on an empty magazine because the slide catch lever and the follower are both able to stop it. If you strike the bottom of any magazine hard enough you may be able to get the slide catch lever to release the slide.

Anyways, figured out by looking at pistol that it was hanging up there in the way and then pushed it down.

Started to work with it and immediately noticed that the takedown lever will not rotate to the 6 o'clock position. I can rotate to about 4 or 5 o'clock, but absolutely not further. Several people have tried to no avail.Checks: with the slide off the pistol, lift the slide catch lever; it should be under spring tension and should smartly return to it's rest position when released. (If it doesn't, the slide catch lever spring is broken or missing). Insert an empty magazine and ensure that the follower of the mag lifts the slide catch lever up. The jammed slide may have this spring off of the slide lock lever and is under the bottom of the slide lock lever, preventing yhe slide lock lever from moving down to unlock the slide. Good picture I think it should be used to make a 365 sticky warning people that the spring goes on top of the tab like seen in your pic and NOT under it.

When trying to install the slide, to get the takedown lever to hangout straight down, you may have to push up on the slide release. Also, on the right side of the frame there is a small tab that if sticking up will prevent the slide from going completely on. Push it down with your finger to get the slide on.
The mag is out and the slide is locked back but the damn takedown lever will not go to 6 o'clock position no matter how hard I force it. My thumb is bleeding at this point lol. Might not be the same, but for a while the 320s needed to push the barrel down or back slightly to allow the lever to drop. This fixed it.
