The Genfield's used the same serial numbers as the Marlin's. The model 57, might have a 2 letter code on the barrel, if so you can go to the part on the serial number sheets, that says Non 39A's 22's. This will only work if it it was made between 1962 and early 1968. Otherwise there were no serial numbers on non 39A's 22's, from 1935- 1968.
